When I saw Derek for the first time I had no idea what an Osteopath even was. He was very welcoming and kind and he explained his methods before we got started. I have scoliosis and was in the habit of seeing a chiropractor even though every chiropractic visit scared me and didn't fully alleviate my pain or solve any problems. The first visit with Derek helped me recover drastically from a back injury I had recently suffered. After 3 more visits Derek had fully helped me recover from the back injury and for the first time in years I have absolutely no pain. This is all done without any scary bone cracking adjustments. Even my friends and family are even grateful for Derek because he was able to help me be myself again. I wasn't going to hike or ski or do anything because I was told I couldn't anymore, but now I can do everything I love again. Derek is a true pro! I am an active outdoor enthusiast and painting contractor, so my body always needs some help. Although I have also used massage & physiotherapy, Derek's treatments were great to help fix the issues in ways the other treatments didn't, such as resetting certain posture positions in my hands from painting and a kinked spine from heavy lifting and impact from sports. I had surgery on my foot this spring and wanted to get back to normal as soon as possible. My neighbour told me how Derek
had helped her so I felt it might help me out as well.
I made three visit with Derek each time feeling a little bit better.
Derek gave me exercise that were simple and pain free to do .
Also recommended toe guards for straightening out my toes.
I feel I’m on track for a better recoup time my surgeon told me it could be as long as 2 years but now feel I can shorten that time up considerably.

I was skeptical at first when I heard about Osteopathy. I was not sure how I would feel after the treatment or how Derek would address my pain.

From the moment that I walked though the door Derek was communicating with me. He explained to me how the assessment and treatment was going to go. Every time I had a question he was quick to answer it. As he was treating me I could feel my back release. I will be seeing Derek in the future. I appreciate his attention to detail and the knowledge that he displayed. As well as his ability to communicate in a simple way for my understanding.
