If you want some who tells things as he sees them, takes his time with and listens to you - he is awesome. Of course he takes longer, he does this with everyone.o

The building isn't great, but I'm fine with it. Of course, I don't have major debilitative issues, yet, so I am able to climb the stairs if the elevator doesn't work. I see this simplicity of environment as a means for providing medicinal help to lower economic classes. Dr. Spezia knows his field. He is very wise in pharmacology. He is old school. I like his manners and his two aids up front, Lee and Brenda are always busy and funny doing their jobs. One day I called Dr after I had an episode that felt like near death and he nailed it over the phone without hesitation--syncope micturition. I was impressed. The wait times haven't been too long, no different than any other. As far as one lady in this thread mentions he only serves black people, well, I'm not considered that. Besides, not sure why this is a bad case anyway, I mean his office is surrounded by numerous black neighborhoods. Please explain that nuance to me.

My Insurance company United Health recomended this Doctor to me since I moved here from Texas, the level of professionalizm that I received from this Doctor's office was sub-par. My appointment was scheduled for 11am and I arrived at 10:30 and sat there patently until 1pm!!!, this was the WORST experience of professionalism I've ever encountered, and to make matters worse I never got the opportunity to meet Dr. In my opinion after that experience I knew he could not give me the quality of service that I need!!!

He should not even get a review. The service and care is horrible. He does not care anything regarding his patient And their care. He has been in the same stinky building with equipment so old over 40. Plus years. That buildin g stink if he cared about his patients he would upgrade. It's all about money he has more than enough patients that he cheats with their care. I pray and ask my mom not to ever go back to this horrible doctor that has prodomiley black patients. Kim is so unprofessional.

In 2014 I had a slip and fall at work. My primary doctor stated that they did not accept workman's compensation. Therefore, I contacted Dr. Spezia's office. The receptionist informed me that Dr. Spezia accepts workman's compensation. I set up an appointment and upon arrival I gave the receptionist forms from my job regarding my accident. She filled them out. I was then informed that I did not have to pay any copays because workman's compensation will cover all the charges. After that I gave them all my billing information and my medical insurance information. I was seen a number of times by Dr. Spezia. Then 2 months later I got into a car accident and I saw Dr Spezia again. I provided my insurance information again. I was charged $25 copay one time only. I was informed that because it was a car accident the remaining balance will come from the settlement that I was to receive. I never heard from Dr Spezia a year after the services were rendered for both cases. After about a year I received a bill of $ 1114. The bill was only on my credit reports. It was a shock for me. I then contacted Dr Spezia’s office and talked to Ms Kim (from billing department) regarding the bill. I informed her of my insurance coverage, my workman’s compensation and my settlement status from the accident. She then told me she would contact my lawyer of the settlement and also informed me that they do not accept workman’s compensation. Two months later I received another letter from a creditor regarding the bill again. I contacted my lawyer and she told me that Dr Spezia put a lien on my settlement. I also contacted Blue Cross BlueShield (my insurance). They stated they never received any claims and they called Dr Spezia’s office and also sent him a letter. The insurance company has not yet received the bill from Dr Spezia. I also contacted Workman’s compensation and they informed me they needed a separate bill for the slip and fall but Kim refuses to provide the documentation. She will not fill out the forms for the workman’s compensation. She also said that they do not deal with lien. This situation has been going for about two years and I would like to get assistance in getting it resolved. I want this negative collection account information removed from my credit reports. I also want all documentation and forms filled out so that the documentation would be sent to appropriate places. I want the bills from slip and fall and my accident to be separated. I have been trying to contact them for numerous times and the most recent conversation with Dr Spezia’s receptionist was that she said that I would have to pay $25 copay just to talk to the doctor about the issue. Kim hung up my phone recently and I never received a call back from Dr Spezia. My insurance and workman’s compensation also called them numerous times with failed results. Also I posted this on Better business Bureau and they falsified all information to them. I would not recommend this doctor and his office to anyone.

My entire family are patients of Dr. Spezia. I have every confidence in his practice. I'm 37, my son is 5 and my daughter is 14 and is a severe asthma patient. Dr. Spezia will accommodate emergency visits for us when their office is open. You may experience a little bit of a wait in the waiting room but you get your meds that you need to feel better. I appreciate them! I removed my kids from a practice in St. Peters to bring them here. They wouldn't give my kids the antibiotics they desperately needed. My daughter had a bad ear infection and the Dr. in St. Peters said it was due to dehydration but as soon as Dr. Spezia saw her ears, he knew right away she needed meds. She was up and going in a few days back to normal.
