I was sent to Dr Valvani for lower back pain. Not getting to meet him on my first visit was an issue with me. It’s important to have a connection to your physician. I didn’t get to meet him until after I had an MRI. When I did finally meet him I was not impressed. I found him to be aloof and not having a very good bedside manner. He talks fast like he was in a hurry. He went through the basics I had already been through with the PA. Bed over, lean forward, touch your toes up. The first thing out of his mouth after looking at the MRI was surgery. I’m 76 years old I don’t think surgery is good for my age. He reluctantly suggested shots in the back but by this time I just wanted to get out of there.
Definitely not the kind of doctor I was looking for.

I really appreciate the personal care that Dr. Valvani offers. He is very honest, yet caring and kind in his assessment and suggestions for how to handle my hip pain. He said, “This is what I would advise for my own mother, if her X-rays and pain level was like yours!” I appreciate his honesty, and will take his advice! I needed a reputable orthopedic doctor to help with sciatica. After searching online and finding multiple references for Dr. Valvani on Cherokee Connect, I decided to make an appointment. He is a great listener, professional, and very knowledgeable. After ordering in-house X-ray imaging, he returned to discuss his findings. After several months believing I had sciatica, I was told I had osteoarthritis in my right hip. He immediately referred me to one of Pinnacle’s outstanding hip/joint surgeons for an evaluation. Doctor Valvani quickly and efficiently correctly diagnosed my condition and had me on my way in no time. Although his schedule was packed with other patients, he had no problem spending time with me to ensure all of my questions were answered and concerns addressed. I highly recommend Dr. Valvani for anyone who needs an outstanding orthopedic doctor! Thank you, Dr. Valvani!

Dr Valvani, is a great doctor, very direct, very knowledgeable, he has a very good bed side manner, and listens to your concerns in totality, and gives you direct answers so you are not left guessing to what your health care should be. I have been to see Dr Valvani 5 times and have always been seen on time, and in this day and time that is unusual

I was so impressed with the entire staff. They were all very professional and extremely nice. They all truly cared about my care. Doctor Valvani explained everything so that I could understand.
