I am so grateful to Iris for her expertise in the human body. It’s very difficult to find this skilled of an Osteopath in the greater Asheville area. As someone who had a major pelvic/sacrum/pubic accident, it’s imperative I receive care from someone who knows what they are doing, and can be incredibly gentle during each alignment. I have tried many different healers, and Iris has been the most consistent in her abilities. She also asks really good questions at the beginning of each session, helping me to identify what’s going on. I highly recommend her if you are needing some care for your body.

April 18, 2024 - I didn’t know what I had done to my back but suddenly I couldn’t bend over or sit without excruciating pain! Walking was painful, it was hard to make it up steps, I couldn't sit on the couch, and to even bending slightly to get into bed left me wanting to cry from the pain. I couldn’t believe my active running/gym working-out self was having issue to just move. Having both an X-ray and an MRI, the only diagnosis provided was facet arthritis. Resolution prescribed by my PCC – epidural that may or may not help. I said no to that for now and looked for other options. NOTE: I had no symptoms of any arthritis or back pain prior to this date.

Two plus hours away from me was Dr. Iris. I had heard DOs could help back pain when other MDs/chiropractors couldn’t, so I called. She was able to quickly setup an appointment to see me and more importantly - she was able to tell me what my pain was caused from! Totally worth the 4 and ½ hour round trip. (I live in a very rural area)

Having the ability to not only identify my back problems (which stemmed from locked SI joints and posture issues) but expertly being able to provide precise manipulations, Dr. Iris has help provide relief. I was able to start walking and to bend again without feeling like I was being stabbed with a knife. My severe back spasms which had not stopped for weeks - even when laying in bed - started to finally subside and was impressively improved with getting my structure back into alignment and with acupuncture.

Dr. Iris not only helped me, but she checked on me after my treatments. I just can’t recommend her enough and really appreciate what she has done. I have told everyone I could that - if you have any type of issues go see her – she can and will help you.

I’m going to echo what everyone else has said because it’s true - Dr. Iris is amazing. She is not only patient with amazing “bedside manner” but what she does works! Her therapy kind of blows my mind to be honest. She is able to peel away the sometimes complex layers of what is affecting our system with the most gentle and precise manipulations.
